Chege observes that some politicians have started preaching hatred as they seek support ahead of 2017.

The MCA appealed to residents to keep off such politicians stating that they don’t have their interests.

Chege noted that some politicians eyeing political seats in the area are inciting the people.

“We are telling Kiambu people to be careful because there are people who are keen to cause divisions as we approach the elections,” he said when he addressed locals at Ruiru town on Monday.

The MCA asked politicians to stop engaging in activities that will disrupt peace. He stated that peace is crucial for next year’s general election.

Chege urged government agencies mandated to crack down on hate mongers to do their job and curb perpetrators of hate as the country approaches the 2017 elections.
