The outgoing Clerk of the National Assembly, Justin Bundi has chaired the last meeting of the National Assembly Service Board.
He called on the Board Members to work together to enhance excellence in the National Assembly.
Bundi who joined Parliament as a Clerk Assistant in 1993, rose to the Position of the Clerk of the National Assembly after serving the National Assembly diligently for a period of 24 years.
During the same period, he was seconded to serve the East African Legislative Assembly, as the Clerk of the Assembly, between 2004 and 2009.
Bundi who proceeds to retirement as from March 22, 2017, handed over to the new Clerk, Michael Rotich Sialai, who assumes office immediately, Tuesday.
Sialai is expected to be sworn in officially, same day Bundi will be leaving office, officially, after attaining the retirement age of 60-years.
The Parliament fraternity wished the new Clerk all the best as he endeavors to steer the Assembly into greater heights.
The clerk is the accounting officer of the National Assembly and serves for five years.
