Siaya county residents may soon start enjoying numerous benefits after Governor Cornel Rasanga visited the United States and engaged potential partners in various sectors.

In a tweet, Rasanga explained that his delegation and the US team deliberated on how to improve education, agriculture and research in the county.

"I have successfully met the leadership of Florida Agriculture & Mechanical University (FAMU) officials here at the United States of America. The officials included FAMU Provost, Vice President and several Deans of various Schools of the Institution," Rasanga posted.

"The engagement explored various areas of collaboration including student exchange programs, partnership with Barrack Obama University in Siaya, Support for Agricultural Extension Work, Educational collaborations & Strengthening of Research Unit in my office," he posted," he added.

The governor and a delegation from the county have been in the US seeking partnerships and collaborations in various sectors.
