The controversial secession call by NASA politicians has come back to the fore with top ODM politician and Raila Odinga key ally reigniting the talk that has dominated the Kenyan political circles for the past few weeks.

In a tweet, former Nairobi Senatorial candidate Edwin Sifuna who is a key member of the NASA legal team noted that the country is irretrievably divided and that President's effort to unite it is an effort in futility.

"Uhuru can give an award winning speech for all we care. The marriage broke down irretrievably on 26th October," Sifuna said on his twitter handle.

In yet another tweet, Sifuna claimed a section of Kenyans have been denied their freedoms noting that they will not "move on" even as he told off the Head of State over his 'reconciliation' call.

"You cannot be denying me my freedoms and talk about 'reconciliation' and 'moving on' at the same time. You must respect me and my rights first.

The vocal politician's statement comes at a time when NASA's planned Jacaranda Grounds venue of their rally has been cordoned off by police.
