National ODM Party Secretary General Edwin Sifuna on Saturday addressed claims that Opposition Leader Raila Odinga had been appointed a special envoy to the African Union.
Speaking in Muhoroni during the burial of Robert Okuku, the cousin of Kisumu County Assembly Majority leader Ken Onyango, Sifuna noted that Odinga had not been appointed a special envoy.
“Claims that Raila Odinga has been appointed as African Union Special envoy are false,” he stated.
He urged the Speaker of Kisumu County Assembly Onyango Oloo, to conduct the house businesses in a proper manner that promotes unity among the members.

After the funeral, Governor Anyang' Nyong'o and Sifuna proceeded to Mutwala Primary School, in the same constituency, to attend the burial ceremony of the late Dr. Edwin Adhiambo Owino, husband to ODM party Commissioner, Magistrate Noah Anindo Owino.
Also present at the ceremony was Thomas Ondijo CEC Roads and Public works, Salmon Orimba CEC Water and Enviroment, Nerry Achar CEC Finance, among other leaders.
