Speaking on Radio Jambo Thursday evening, Sifuna called for a quick and sincere probe into the graft deal, demanding that President Uhuru Kenyatta gives his all to ensure that all the culprits in the scam are held to account.

He urged the head of state to maximize on his recent reconciliation with opposition leader Raila Odinga, noting that he has no excuse to underperform, as he is facing no interference from the opposing side.

"Yeye amekua katika mstari was mbele kutupiga kwa kutumia polisi na kuturushia vitozamachozi, sasa tunataka atumie nguvu zizo hizo kupiga wahusika wa ufisadi (he should now concentrate all the effort he used on us during our demonstrations to punish the corrupt individuals)," he said.

Both the President and his deputy, William Ruto, have since remained mum on the multimillion scandal, which threatens to further rock the government, as it is yet to recover from the earlier one involving the same body.

Youth Affairs Principal Secretary Lilian Omollo and NYS Director General Richard Ndubai have since stepped aside for 3 months to give room for investigations.
