The Court of Appeal has extended Nakumatt FC and Zoo FC's stay in the Kenya Premier League (KPL).

The court said that the two will continue to participate in the league until the case challenging their expulsion from the KPL is heard and determined.

In the appeal filed by Football Kenya Federation (FKF), the court in its ruling affirmed of its execution orders to allow the pair more time in the league till the case on the league's composition is concluded.

But this could be merely a temporary reprieve as the court has not decided on the number of teams to participate in the KPL.

Whereas FKF is rooting for an 18-team league, KPL is pushing for a 16-man competition.
