Outspoken Dagorettin North MP Simba Arati has dismissed claims that ODM leader Raila Odinga overlooked him during appointments to various party seats.
And instead, Arati says the decision to handover Janet Ong'era with powerful Vice Chair post is an honour to Gusii people at large.
"There is nothing wrong with appointment of my sister Janet as VC for the party. It shows how the party is keen to promote women leadership," he said.
The second term MP added: "I respect the choice of the party and after all she comes from the populous Gusii region."
Regarding his silent lobbying to be Omogusii spokesperson, Arati refuted claims that he plans to use the advantage to pupularize his bid to replace Kisii governor James Ongwae.
Instead, he says, he will continue serving the interest of the large Gusii community at the capital adding that he will not quit city politics.
"There are those who think I want to run away from the city. I want to tell them that it will not happen soon. I am here to stay," he said in a clip circulating on social media.
