The much hyped inauguration of Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati as Gusii spokesperson may after all not take place.
organisers had identified Gusii stadium as venue for Sunday's ceremony, whose details have now remained scanty.
"There are fears that some people may hijack the event but we shall communicate prior to the event," said Beavon Magare.
Conspicuously though, Arati, who is serving his second term, has remained mum over the event with efforts to reach him bearing no fruits.
A source close to the flamboyant MP however says that he may have retreated to 'consult' more on the plans before communicating the way forward.
"Of course he is keen to lead the community but he is still consulting. It must be done in a way that there is no backlash from the society," said a source who spoke in confidence.
Serving his second term, Arati is one of the first Gusii born leaders to serve on elected capacity outside the region along with Nakuru Town west's Samuel Arama.
