Gisii elders have warned that they will be forced to 'curse and deport' flamboyant Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati should he go on with inauguration plans as spokesperson of the community.
With two days to the much anticipated event at Gusii stadium, organisers have vowed to go on with the programme despite warning from elders.
"The programme is on and nobody can stop it. We don;t recognise those making noise around," said Beavon Magare.
Serving his second term on ODM, Simba is celebrated among the youths and has been linked to Nairobi gubernatorial position in 2022.
But the elders led by James Matundura warned organisers from going on with the event adding that no consultations was done.
"We have structures that are followed before such events and no consultations were done. We respect what he is doing for our people in Nairobi but we can't allow the plans to materialise.
"No such ceremony shall take place and should he attempt, we shall be forced to curse and deport him to Nairobi.Only elders can identify a spokesperson for the community," he said.
For the better part of this week, Arati has remained mum over the event with sources intimating that he may have dropped the idea due to external pressure.
