Brushing one's teeth is a habit that is not fully appreciated. Brushing and flossing are effective ways of preventing tooth decay.

It's recommended that you brush your teeth after every meal to get rid of food particles from your teeth. For those who love chewing gum, make a habit of chewing gum with low sugar content. 

We shake hands and touch a lot of things and surfaces. Our hands do collect a lot of germs. Do not touch food or consume anything using your hands before washing them. If you are away from a water source, you can use a spoon, fork or any suitable method.  

Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before making contact with food. Scrub the front, back, between the fingers and even under the fingernails. 

Taking a shower is an important part of personal hygiene. Keep your shoes and clothes clean. Poor hygiene of shoes and feet is an easy way to get athlete's foot.

Avoid picking your nose with your fingers. Use a handkerchief. If you pick your nose and then touch your eyes, you could get a sty.
