Many people are still asking for answers for the rape incidence which happened at Moi Girls School Nairobi. Many, including activists and former students of Moi Girls School Nairobi are holding demonstrations over this case, with 8 students already confirmed positive in the DNA test being carried.
However, for singer Wahu, Nameless's wife, her case is different. She is accusing the police for claiming that the students are using this small incidence to evade exams. Wahu is angrier with the police who have taken the issue lightly and using it as a scapegoat.
She took her disappointments in the police on her Instagram page, where she posted accusing the police for not putting in the required seriousness.
“I am appalled by the comments made by Michael Muchiri of kilimani Police station as per this article in the Daily Nation. The dismissive tone in which he addresses the issue of the minor’s RAPE , with the insinuation of this somehow being linked to evading exams is such an insult to women!!!” she wrote.
The police who think the students are taking them for a ride to escape exams, have not been serious with their investigations.
“How can rape and sexual assault be accorded the seriousness it deserves from the police, If this is the attitude of such a high ranking officer?? As a woman, a mother of girls and a citizen of this great nation of Kenya I say that this statement is insensitive, unfortunate, degrading and a BIG BIG SHAME!” continued Wahu.
