Singida United head coach Suleiman Ally says his team has the utmost respect for Gor Mahia and will have to prepare well for their semi-final clash of the ongoing SportPesa Super Cup against the Kenyan heavyweights set to be played on Friday 8 June if they are to reach the final.
The Tanzanian outfit defeated another local powerhouse, AFC Leopards 4-2 on post-match penalties on Tuesday 5 June at the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru after the match had ended 0-0 in normal time
The win set-up a tantalizing clash for Suleiman's charges against defending champions Gor who on Friday 2 defeated Zanzibari champions Jeshi la Kujenga Uchumi (JKU) 3-0.
Suleiman, who was appointed a day prior to Tuesday's game against Leopards said, "We respect Gor Mahia. They are a big club with quality and well-experienced players.
Positive Result
"It is going to be a tough game for us but at least unlike today's game, I have two days to prepare with my team and I am confident we can achieve a positive result.
"Gor is the defending champions of the tournament after winning the inaugural showpiece that was held in Tanzania in 2017.
The winner will have the chance to travel away and play against English topflight side Everton FC at the club's Goodison Park arena in Liverpool.
