Reporters at Uhuru Park say that there is a sense of calm at the iconic park.
There are no signs yet of law enforcement officers as many expected.
Nairobi County Police Commander Japheth Koome had said that no one would be allowed to access the park on Tuesday, January 30, the day that Raila Odinga is expected to take the oath of office.
It is not clear yet whether law enforcement officers will be deployed to the park tomorrow to prevent supporters from accessing it.
Scores of leaders have called on the government to allow the swearing-in to proceed peacefully.
