As we head to the August General polls, six governors from Jubilee and National Super Alliance(NASA) have already lost during nominations amidst objection of results from rivals, reports Nation.
Governors Cleophas Lagat (Nandi), Benjamin Cheboi (Baringo), Joseph Ndathi (Kirinyaga), John Mruttu (Taita Taveta), William Kabogo (Kiambu) and Jack Ranguma (Kisumu) have been floored during primaries in some of the most watched races.
Some of these governors loss have left many Kenyans in shock. For instance, Kabogo was considered among the governors who would retain his seat until the Jubilee nominations were conducted.
The governor has faulted his relationship with Jubilee top leadership for his failure after Kabete MP Ferdinard Waititu trounced him with a huge margin.
The loss of these governors can be attributed to their questionable performance scoreboard, rivalry within their parties and failure to read the current political situations.
The governors hail from different parts of the nation including Coast, Central Kenya and Rift Valley. The fall of these governors is likely to change the political situation of this nation as the election date draws closer.
Both Jubilee and National Super Alliance (NASA) have been affected by the losses considering the role the governors played in this outfits.
