Six people were on Thursday arrested during a crack down on illicit brew.
9800 litres of illicit brew were also destroyed during the operation in Kaptembwa slum, Nakuru.
Addressing media after the operation, Nakuru Town West deputy county commissioner Elmi Shaffi said the operation was conducted following a tip off from members of the public.
“We are encountering challenges in the fight against illicit brews due to the fact that unscrupulous county government officers are colluding with illicit brews,” he said.
The administrator also took an issue with the courts saying they have also become a hindrance in the fight against illicit brews due to the issuance of lenient fines to offenders.
