Dennis Oliech is definitely one of the finest players Kenya ever produced. The former national team captain retired from international football, but continues to engage in other footballing activities.

1. All-time scorer
Oliech is Kenya's all-time top scorer with 34 goals in 66 matches. He played for AJ Auxerre in France, where he scored 10 goals and assisted six.
2. All-important goal
He scored the winning goal that sent Harambee Stars to the Africa Cup of Nations in 2014.
3. Elder brother
Oliech’s eldest brother Steve Okumu was also a top scorer in the country in 1990s.
4. The brother was killed in a road accident in 2002.
5. He has a brother who is a coach
Oliech's elder brother Nixon Onywanda is the head coach of Dagoretti Santos – Oliech’s pioneer club.
6. Playing career
He started out playing for Dagoretti Santos before he was recruited by Mathare United.
