Photo/Hivisasa.com]Religious leaders in Eldoret town have vowed not to support Women Representative aspirants who are 'drunkards'.The leaders want electorates to ignore such aspirants and instead, vote for an upright woman to take up the position.Speaking during a prayer meeting with one of the position's hopeful, Ruth Kemboi Maraba, the church leaders said picking a drunk women rep would be setting a bad example for the youth."There are six women rep aspirants who are heavy drinkers and as religious leaders we have resolved that we will not support such individuals. Voters in this county should do the same," noted Rev Misigo who is also an aspirant for the Huruma MCA seat."It is disappointing that such aspirants go on a drinking spree with our youths and electing them will be the biggest mistake," he added.Uasin Gishu women representative seat has attracted over 10 aspirants. They include former Judiciary Chief Registrar Gladys Boss Shollei, former Eldoret South MP Peris Simam and Kemboi Maraba, a county social worker.Others are; Pauline Chebet, Millycent Jerono Rotich, Mary Goreti, Irene Malel, Loose Kibor, Rael Lelei among others.
