Women in Kisii town have started morning exercises in a bid to lose weight for a healthy and smooth life.
Speaking on Tuesday at Kisii University grounds, Jane Onsare, chairlady of Healthy living women said light training every morning will enable them lead a healthy life.
“We decided to start having light exercises in the morning to reduce extra weight which medics have always told us is dangerous,” said Onsare.
Onsare called on those with weight problems to feel free and join the group since there were no charges.
“I call upon women with weight problems to join us since it is free. I am one of the pioneers and our main objective is to contribute significantly to health living. The group is not commercial,” explained Onsare.
She lauded Kisii University sports department for allowing them to use its facilities without any condition.
“When we approached the sports department a few days ago, we thought it would be difficult to persuade them, but they were very friendly and allowed us to use the facilities,” notes Onsare.
Onsare noted that many women are suffering from various ailments for lack of exercises.
