Small businesses in majorly Nairobi, Mombasa and Vihiga counties have received a massive boost after the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) with the Centre of International Private Enterprise (CIPE) an affiliate of the US Chamber of Commerce to have small traders’ sale to American market.
According to the Daily Nation, Mr. Richard Ngatia, the KNCCI chairman Nairobi Chapter said that the deal will see small businesses in Nairobi get financed in to prosperity.
“The Nairobi Chamber will capitalize on this partnership to foster its brand and enhance and enhance services to members,” Ngatia said as quoted by the Daily Nation.
In addition, he said that the Chamber had already signed another memorandum of Understanding with the county Government of Nairobi that sought to ease the way of doing business in the capital and it has started bearing fruits.
“Already, the Nairobi Chamber has signed an MoU with the Nairobi County Government to develop ways of easing how to do business with specific focus being on the small businesses in Nairobi,” Ngatia added.
The expected entry of the Kenya’s SmEs in to the American market is expected to start in December of 2018.
