This is one business many Kenyans don't bother to venture into but it's lucrative.
It doesn't require a lot of capital and with as little as 1k you can start.

2. Hawking
I have seen several people start hawking out of desperation but end up making it in life.

A salon may charge up to Sh50 per head and a local one chargersSh600. All you need is skills and strategic location. With Sh100,000, you can put up a good salon.
You can even start by visiting your clients at their homes before getting a physical shop.
Barbershops; with only Sh30,000 you are good to go and can make up to Sh2,000 daily.
5. Mpesa shop
This is good business and even in crowded places you will make profits .you only need Sh100,000, but if a friend gives you his/her line with Sh50,000, you can start.
6. Poultry farming
If you have a small farm then think of starting a poultry farm because you will reap big.
With only Sh20,000, you can start with at least 20 chicken. Traditional chicken are easy to rear but they take longer to mature (6 months) while broilers take only 5 weeks.
If you spend Sh50,000, you can make up to Sh20,000-Sh40,000 profit after 5 weeks and profit increases as you increase the number of chicken.
7. Farming
Plant crops like tomatoes, onions and other fruits. You can never go wrong with good farming.
