Hospital Ward MCA JB Mwangi has called on small scale traders in the area to apply for loansin order to expand their businesses.

Mwangi on Tuesday said that small scale traders can benefit if they seek loans from government and private sector.

Speaking when he met traders on Tuesday, the MCA said that small scale traders are contributing largely to the economic development of the area.

“Small scale traders should not fear seeking loans from the government or even the private sector so that they can expand and grow their businesses,” he said.

The MCA noted that traders can form groups and apply for government loans, adding that development will be realized if traders expand their business.

The Hospital MCA at the same time urged the Kiambu government to promote the rights and welfare of small scale traders.

He said that the Kiambu government can promote small scale business by reducing levies imposed on traders.

Mwangi said that he is pushing for policies that will empower small scale traders at the Kiambu county assembly.
