Musyoka says that Haji’s swift move in the fight against corruption is laudable and encouraging.

Speaking to journalists at Parliament Buildings in Nairobi on Wednesday, the MP asked the DPP not to be intimidated as he fights graft.

He said that Mr. Haji has the competence to nail the ‘small and big fish’ and restore the country’s sanity in use of public resources.

“We are happy and encouraged with the DPP’s swift move in combating graft and he has our full support,” the Maendeleo Chap Chap lawmaker said.

The MP said that corruption is a serious economic disease that has to be stamped out at all costs.

He said that unless graft is tamed out, the country’s development agenda will remain a dream and asked the DPP to move with speed and ensure culprits involved in multi-billion scandals are jailed.

“What we want to see now is people being jailed for swindling taxpayer’s money,” said Musyoka.

The MP also asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to unite and fight corruption for a better country.

The DPP continues to receive accolades for his fast move on graft suspects.

On Tuesday, 33 suspects linked to the Sh9 billion loss at the NYS were arraigned and charged in court.

The suspects among them Public Service Principal Secretary Lilian Mbogo and NYS director General Richard Ndubai pleaded not guilty to 10 counts of corruption.
