Kenyans reacted both sarcastically and cognitively as pictures of the outspoken politician riding the bike made their way to social media platforms.

Some commended her on the move to take part in the creation of awareness while others mocked her.

The Women Representative rode in heavy traffic all the way from her residence to parliament where she attended the afternoon sitting.

“Feeling elated for a successful ride from my home to Parliament this afternoon. Admittedly, cycling in Nairobi is a daunting task loaded with many risks, but that shouldn’t be the case,” she said.

She added saying that she was in the process of understanding riding in the city and expressed her desire to see to it that cycling lanes are developed in the city to allow cyclists to use them.

Cycling will perhaps be the remedy to traffic in the city with the county embarking on casual responses to the menace even as many cry foul over the same.

Besides easing traffic, cycling will also help reduce the levels of pollution in the city as there will be less emitted carbon gases that are mostly the primary component in vehicle exhaust gases.
