[Photo/Uhuru Kenyatta]Some online users have come up with a list of Kenyans they feel they deserved the State commendation.Their move came after President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday honoured people they claimed had not contributed anything to the country. Among the names that elicited mixed reactions were, city blogger Robert Alai, Dennis Itumbi, Pauline Njoroge, Thomas “Big Ted” Kwaka, Ben Githae, Rufftone, Jackie Maribe, Martin Kamotho aka Githeri Man among others.Some names that Kenyans have shared online which never appeared in yesterday's list include:Mary Mokaya - the Moi Girls School hero who sacrificed her own life to rescue her fellow students during the deadly fire that killed form one students. Her confidence and intelligence impressed many Kenyans when she appeared for TV interviews.Goldalyn Kakuya - The 2017 KCPE best student who scored 455 out of 500 marks despite living with albinism. Mr. Along’o George Mutwiri - the Principal of Lairuba Day Secondary School who was captured on photo wading through flood waters just to ensure the safe delivery of examination material to the students during the 2017 Kenya Certificate of Primary Examination (KCPE.)Dr Fred Kabuni, Prof Nimrod Mwang’ombe and team of KNH Surgeons - they successfully operated on and separated a set of twins conjoined at birth.Joyciline Jepkosgei - the athlete smashed four world records in April as she raced to the finish line during the Prague Half Marathon.Umra Omar - Omar and her Safari Doctors team have specialised in providing medical care to areas where normal doctors wouldn’t go.
