A number of social media users from Nyamira County have condemned the untimely death of controversial Nairobi businessman Jacob Juma who has been critical of Jubilee government for a while.
Juma was reportedly killed by unknown assailants along Lenana road on Thursday evening, who sprayed his car with bullets.
But in Nyamira, the social media users have suspected the death, with some putting the government to task by demanding an explanation.
“It’s so sad that a smart innovative young man can be killed in cold blood especially when his stand about governance is known. We demand that the government investigates the matter and gives us reasons behind it,” said Peter Kemosi.
“How hell on earth someone can kill one of the best role models to youths? This country is killing its sun and we cannot sit back and watch. We want someone to be held accountable on this,” added Clare Moraa.
Another user who extracted Juma’s Tuesday tweets urged CID to investigate the information posted by the slain businessman where he predicted his assassination.
“This tweet tells it that he knew of his death. We want this to be taken seriously because things seem to be a bit complicated. We want all Kenyans to be given good security,” said James Manwa in Nyamira Whatsap group.
