Kenya Premier League (KPL) sides Sofapaka and Kariobangi Sharks FC are set for a thrilling clash in the quarter finals of the GOtv Shield Cup after a dramatic exit of heavyweights Ulinzi Stars and Gor Mahia.
Batoto Ba Mungu who have clinched the cup twice in the last six years have continued to display improvement in their display after a harsh 2016 season.
The Elly Kalekwa side thumped bogey Western Stima after their returning veteran Hillary Echesa struck a single goal for them.
But Sharks edged out Kenpoly after Ebrimah Sanneh and Steve Odhiambo netted the only goals in the duel.
