Sofapaka Fc players in past action.(citizentv.co.ke) Kenya Premier League side Sofapaka FC have now vowed to bag the league title next season after finishing second in the 2017 campaign.Assistant head coach John Baraza on Friday said that reclaiming the title they last held eight years ago remains their top priority going into the new season and they will do everything possible to ensure the above is achieved-"We want to come back in the league in a big way and if we managed to wind up second in the just concluded Kenya Premier League then I don't see why we should not go an extra mile and bag the crown that has eluded us since 2009", the former Kenyan international is quoted by the club portal.The three times KPL golden boot winner is currently in charge of Batoto Ba Mungu with rumours abound that Ugandan Sam Ssimbwa could be on his way back to his motherland.The club on Thursday roped in former Ulinzi Stars striker Stephen Waruru and are confident that the former Soldier will bring in the goals.Sofapaka will open their 2018 campaign against coast based Bandari Fc at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on February 4.
