Sofapaka edged out Bandari on Saturday in a Sportpesa Premier League match played at the Mbaraki Sports Club in Mombasa.

Edwin Lavatsa made a rare entry into the score sheet with his goal in the 24th minute from Fred Nkata’s delivery as the home side grabbed the lead.

Sofapaka cancelled that goal with interest in the second half.

Meshack Karani equalized midway through the second half after making the most of a goal mouth melee.

In the 85th minute, Batoto ba Mungu earned a penalty after Andrew Waiswa handled the ball inside the box, and Ugandan goalkeeper Mathias Kigonya made no mistake from the spot kick.

In another match, Zoo Kericho and Ulinzi Stars played to a barren draw at the Kericho Green Stadium

Ulinzi Stars controlled most the proceedings in this match but just could not collect the statistic that mattered.

The point earned moved Zoo Kericho from 11th to 13th on the SportPesa Premier League table, as the soldiers also moved one place up to fourth place.
