Sofapaka coach John Baraza has indicated that he has forwarded a request to the team’s management to bring on board Musa Mohammed, who is now a free agent ahead of KPL second leg action.

The mid-season transfer window is set to swing open in under two weeks time.

The former Gor Mahia captain has been in the country since terminating his contract with Albanian side KF Tirana, in April.

Baraza believes that Sofapaka will become a hard nut to crack if they land Mohamed.

“He is a very good player and I would be very happy if we can land him. I have told the management and hopefully, they can initiate the talks. We intend to be very competitive and fight for the league crown so we need to be strong as a team,” Baraza is quoted by Michezo Afrika.com.

Musa Mohamed left Gor Mahia alongside mid-fielder Kenneth Muguna to join FK Tirana early this year, but he is back in the country less than five months after signing for the European side.

However, Muguna remains in Albania.

He recently helped his side, coached by former Gor Mahia Coach Marcello Ferreira (Ze Maria) to win the division one title and get promoted to the first tier league - Albanian SuperLiga.
