Sofapaka Fc finally found their winning form after beating bitter rivals Tusker 1-0 in match played at the Ruaraka Stadium on Saturday.

Humphrey Okoti scored the all important goal on the 30th minute to send Batoto ba Mungu second behind runaway leaders and incoming champions Gor Mahia.

Sofapaka were coming into the match on the backdrop of a three match winless streak that threatened to eject them out of the coveted top three position.

The John Baraza charges began the match on a deadly note testing the brewers goalie from time to time.After countless knocking on Tusker's goal,they finally broke the deadlock with Okoti tapping into an empty net following a Rodgers Aloro cross that caught Tusker's goalie David Okello off his line.

The hosts continued to pile more pressure on the current champions but had to contend with their solitary lead going into half time.

On resumption,it was Tusker's moment to show their intent but couldn't find the back of the net with Humphey Mieno,Collins Shivachi and Eugene Asike all coming close.

In the end it was Sofapaka who savoured the bragging rights complete with three vital points.
