Sofapaka head coach Sam Ssimbwa has termed as 'costly' his side's barren draw against Kariobangi Sharks on Saturday.
Speaking shortly after the match which was played at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Saturday, the Ugandan national said their chances of narrowing the gap between them and runaway leaders Gor Mahia was dealt a massive blow.
“It was a chance for us to close on our rivals, and pressure them at the top, unfortunately we failed to capitalize on our chances and it is not looking good on our side,"he said.
A win would have seen the Batoto Ba Mungu consolidate their second position on the log with a five- point difference with the league leaders with only nine matches left.
Unfortunately,Gor which has two games in hand tightened their grip on the log with a 9-point difference after they drew blanks with Thika United in a late kick off on Sunday.
