Patel Manskul, the owner of Solai dam which burst its banks and killed up to 47 people, did not attend a memorial service held to pray for families of victims.

The service was held at AIC Solai.

President Uhuru Kenyatta, First Lady Margret Kenyatta, Deputy President William Ruto and his wife Rachel Ruto led a powerful government delegation to the service.

It is not clear why Manskul Patel did not attend the service.

Hundreds of people attended the service where leaders asked the government to help those who were affected by the raging waters.
