2010 KPL champions Ulinzi Stars on Saturday handed 2016 champions Tusker a 4-0 beating as the league took its final round of matches ahead of the long holiday.
The soldiers' Steve Waruru came breathing fire and earned a brace with the first goal coming in the 15th minute from a corner kick.
Waruru would rise again in the 35th minute to hand Ulinzi their second in the match.
Waruru turned provider in the 84th minute when he found Omar Mbongi in the area with the latter finding an unguarded path through to the net to make it 4-0, a result that stood to the final whistle.
The loss means Tusker finish sixth behind winners Gor Mahia, Sofapaka, Kariobangi Sharks, Posta Rangers and Kakamega Homeboyz.
On the other hand, the soldiers finished seventh behind the soldiers and one slot above AFC Leopards.
