A section of Ukambani leaders has vowed to rally the community behind Former Vice President Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka as he seeks to ascend to power in 2022.
Speaking during Kalonzo’s visit at the home of the late Kitui West MP Francis Nyenze, the leaders said that Kalonzo has what it takes to take over power when that time comes.
They affirm that they will transverse the nation in order to drum up support for the National Super Alliance (NASA) running mate in the August General election until he realizes his presidential dream. Led by Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana and his Kitui counterpart Charity Ngilu, the leaders said that Kalonzo is ready for the nation’s top seat.
“As far as we are concerned, Mr Musyoka is our presidential candidate come 2022. We want to ask him to go round the country to enlist the support of others to realise this goal. We shall walk with him,” Kibwana said, as quoted by Daily Nation.
On her part, Ngilu hailed the Wiper Party Patron saying that he has stood firm in the quest to give this nation better leadership in the coming years. She also said Uhuru is in power illegally.
