A 60-year-old woman was on  Wednesday night raped and killed by unknown people at Kwa Amos trading centre in Engoshura Bahati, Nakuru County.

The body of the victim, whose husband died  20 years ago, was found dumped in a shamba a few metres from her home.

According to Nakuru North OCPD Edward Masibo ,  the woman operates a small food kiosk at Hodi Hodi trading centre and might have been waylaid after closing the day’s business.

Masibo said that police have begun investigations into the incident.

The body was taken to Nakuru county government mortuary.
