The governor and his beautiful wife joined the family of  AP officer Jacinta Muteti at the at her Katelembo home where they condoled with rest of the siblings. 

Muteti and three other security personnel passed on after a motorist, who was heading to Nairobi, rammed into their car as he was attempting to overtake another vehicle. 

The four died on the spot after they had escorted Mutua’s wife. The governor took to social media and posted: “Later, together with @LillyanneNganga visited the family of the late AP officer Jacinta Muteti at her Katelembo home in Machakos.” 

Before the visit, the county boss had sent the family a message of condolence to the families of the bereaved.

"I pass my heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of officers attached to my office who passed away yesterday at Lukenya area while heading home after duty," Mutua is quoted.  

The death of Mutua’s bodyguards comes at a time when he is drumming up support in different parts of the county as he seeks to defend his post in the forthcoming general elections.
