The clerks of both the National Assembly and the Senate are receiving East Africa Legislative Assembly nominees form political parties.
The candidates who were being considered for the positions after being vetted in May are also set to apply afresh.
Those who wish to serve in EALA as independent members will also be presenting their papers on the same day, at county halls mini-chamber.
According to EALA nominations regulations, Jubilee Party will get five slots out of the nine available owing to their superiority in members elected to parliament.
Among key figures whose names have been presented by Jubilee include former Nyandarua Women MP Wanjiku Muhia, former CIC Chairperson Charles Nyachae, former Tigania East MP Mpuria Aburi, Emmy Kosegei’s father, former Mandera MP Aden Noor, and former Mandera East MP Abdulaziz Ali.
Others include Jackson Kosgei, Florence Segon, Dorice Aburi,
The ODM Party is yet to present its MPs, but according to John Mbadi, they will present the list to parliament, with ANC, WIPER and Ford Kenya having a single post with ODM having two.
Former Interior Minister Mutea Iringo is not on the list, having been nominated in the last election.
Kenya and South Sudan’s failure to present the names of their members to the commission paralyzed the operations at the East African House, but will be resuming operations soon.
