A man has stabbed his son to death after a heated argument ensued between them over a commercial sex worker.
It is alleged that the two were drinking at a local joint at Nyabieyo shoppibg centre in Kisii County on Tuesday evening when they started arguing who should sleep with the lady.
"The man and the boy started fighting because they all realised that they have been sleeping with the same girl," said Amos Nyamari, a local.
The man got mad at the boy and carried a knife and stabbed his son.
Nyamari said the man was rushed to Tabaka hospital where he was pronounced death on arrival.
Area assistant chief Benson Onderi confirmed the incident and said a manhunt has been launched to arrest the man and the woman who have gone into hiding.
“The two have been drunkards in the area. We have seen the fruits of alcohol consumption. We are tracing them so that they help us in investigations,” he said.
He warned parents againstdrinking with their sons.
