Nairobi residents have been urged to embrace commuter trains.

According to governor Mike Sonko, the move will help in easing traffic congestion that has been a menace in the city.

In a statement, the Governor stated that other than being comfortable, “train rides are timely and not in any way affected by traffic.”

Sonko stated that his government is in the process of completing the construction and upgrading of train stations in the outskirts of Nairobi.

He stated that this will make it easy for people to book and ride from their neighborhoods to town.
