Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has come under intense attack by a NASA affiliated MP for allegedly disrespecting President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto.
According to Borabu MP Ben Momanyi, Sonko was not a leader who should be elected again in 2022.
“Sonko’s decision to disrupt Ruto’s speech over the weekend is disrespectful to not only Ruto but also the head of state. Nairobi residents made a wrong choice electing a failure who thinks addressing people at rallies will make him to be a performer,” he said.
Momanyi called upon the Jubilee party to punish Sonko failure to which he will continue disrespecting top Jubilee leaders."
Jubilee is the reason why Sonko won the seat last year. Jubilee party should punish him for his bad decisions because he thinks being famous among Nairobi residents will make him a good leader. I wish to remind Sonko that fame and leadership are two different things,” he noted.
He said that the governor will achieve nothing by the next general elections.
Sonko has been under intense attack by leaders from across the political divide.
Among his greatest points of criticism is the garbage issues, with areas like Kibera said to still languish in extreme neglect by City Hall cleaners.
