Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has announced future automation of payments at City Hall to curb theft.
Sonko, who last week ascended to the helm of City Hall, said he intends to increase Nairobi’s revenue from Sh15.5 billion annually to Sh30 billion.
“Nobody will be allowed to pay in cash to acquire any service,” said the Governor.
“I also intend to increase annual revenue from 15.5 billion annually to 30 billion,” he said on Sunday.
The Jubilee governor also promised to pay workers in time.
“Staff salary delays will be a thing of the past. More revenue collected will lead to timely payment of Staff salaries,” said Sonko.
