Thursday, turned out to be a blessing to 49 traders working at the Jogoo Road small-scale shops in Shauri Moyo after Nairobi governor Mike Sonko donated Sh1.2 million to them.The traders reportedly incurred losses of over Sh5 million after their businesses were looted last week Friday following crowd trouble when NASA leader Raila Odinga jetted back into the country.Sonko has also offered to clear hospital bills for the victims who were assaulted during the demonstrations.“I have donated that money so that traders whose businesses were destroyed or looted can get back to their feet and continue earning their living and those who were involved in destroying people’s property the law will catch up with you,” said Sonko.The Sh1.2 million is a personal donation from Sonko. He also pledged more financial support to the victims
