Nairobi senator, Mike Sonko has failed to adhere to a court summon when he was asked by a Mombasa court to appear before the court on Tuesday.

Sonko who is a surety for a Mombasa republican group leader who was detained at Shimo La Tewa after he failed to afford a Sh10 million bond to be released. 

Sonko was expected to appear in court to explain why the MRC leader who he stood as a surety for had been missing court proceedings to attend to his case hearing. 

Sonko failed to appear since it is suspected that the court summon for him to appear in court today was not communicated to him appropriately.
