Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has finally returned to Nairobi after working from his Machakos home for over a week.
Through his Facebook account, Sonko attended a Church service at A.I.P.C.A in Njiru together with 122 Members of the County Assembly.
Last week, Sonko held a cabinet meeting at his Mua home in Machakos citing security reasons.
Sonko stated that his life was in danger and he needed assurance of his security considering that over 20 bodyguards had been withdrawn from his security detail.
Sonko has claimed that his work as the city boss was being hampered by powerful individuals in government. He has accused Interior PS Karanja Kibicho of being behind his woes.
Recently, Sonko has been on the spot after he appointed controversial lawyer Miguna Miguna as his deputy.
The move was opposed by his Jubilee party despite Nairobi County Assembly Speaker Beatrice Elachi stating that Miguna will be vetted and approved by the county.
