On Wednesday, the flamboyant Senator has been spotted greeting elders at his family home in Mua Hill, Machakos county.

Sources privy to the meeting between the Mua octogenarians and the Senator has revealed that Sonko is set to be crowned the Kamba elder.

The Senator is facing incumbent Governor Evans Kidero, lawyer Miguna Miguna, and former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth in the race to occupy City Hall for the next five-year term.
