Philanthropic Nairobi County senator, Mike Sonko was on Wednesday grilled by the Powers and Privileges Committee.
This is following his violent conduct during a parliamentary committee session that saw him near to blows with governor Kidero.
The disciplinary team and the leadership of Senate speaker, Ekwee Ethuro summoned Sonko before the committee where he faced charges of misconduct during the questioning of Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero four weeks ago.
The controversial senator was caught on camera banging the tables, causing a disruption and verbally attacking the county governor in a heated exchange that nearly ended up in blows.
It is in fact alleged that the two punched each other during the chaotic session but they both denied the allegations.
Sonko risks being heavily fined or better still, he could be suspended from office for sometime if found guilty.
This comes in the wake of his bid to contest against Kidero for Nairobi's gubernatorial seat come 2017.
