Speaking on Sunday, Sonko did not say when the new rate would be implemented. "I have proposals to amend the Finance Act once the county assembly holds its first sitting this week. The outcome will be communicated in due course," said Sonko.
In his manifesto, Sonko promised to reduce parking fees from the current Sh300 to Sh150.
He had promised that the implementation of the new rates will be implemented within the first 100 days.
"My administration will reduce parking and impounding fees by 30 per cent," said Sonko.
