Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has held a treat for City Hall MCAs allied to the opposition NASA coalition.
Sonko hosted the county legislators at his Mua home on Christmas day.
Putting politics aside, the MCAs vowed to work together with the governor to realise the dreams of Nairobi county.
The MCAs promised to bury their political wars with the Jubilee government and unite as a team.
"Sonko is a godly person who does not fear individuals but has respect for human life and has no boundaries in terms of service delivery. Why can't we give him the support he needs to deliver leadership that Nairobi deserves," said one of the MCAs who sought anonymity.
"Personally I am willing to work round the clock in my ward to change the political misconceptions between NASA and Jubilee politics. It is Jubilee that has the majority in Nairobi and so all we can do is shelve our ambitions as a party and focus on collaborating our efforts to service delivery," the MCA added.
