In what escaped many people on Sunday, Kabogo and Sonko the better part of the day together where they both endorsed each other to represent the two neighboring counties.

“What was said here that Wamalwa has been endorsed by Kiambu people has never been done. We’d like you to tell Nairobians the constitution allows elections every five years. Here in Kiambu, the people will elect Kabogo,” he said.

Sonko who campaigned for Kabogo said that he should continue as the governor disparaging those opposed to them as being tribal and that the petty politics they were engaging in were time barred.

“I am here in solidarity with my friend William Kabogo. As President Uhuru continues in 2017, Kabogo should continue as well.”

In a video posted on Facebook, Sonko accused Waititu of selling public property especially markets which help the low-income earners a majority of whom are from Kiambu.

Last week, a section of Nairobi MPs demanded that DP Ruto stop imposing Wamalwa on them.

The MPs led by Starehe MP Maina Kamanda accused Ruto of engineering the move by the four Mt Kenya MPs Kabete’s Ferdinand Waititu, Kieni’s Kanini Kega, Jude Njomo from Kiambu and Tigania East’s Mpuru Aburi to endorse Wamalwa as Jubilee’s candidate for Nairobi in 2017.
